KO Pies is owned by Australian-born Samuel Jackson who's making savory meat pies in his fairly new shop in South Boston. Classic beef, Irish beef stew, curried vegetable or braised lamb shank... Personal chef, cooking instructor and food writer Karen Covey will join us at Travessia for a demonstration and talk on cooking with wine. Earlier this year, Karen helped launch the first-ever Kids Cooking Club at the Mattapoisett Public Library. She is also the creator of the website gourmetrecipesforone.com, a resource of simple, delicious recipes that focus on cooking for one. This event is Free!
